Today I sang "This Little Piggy" with my grand-daughter in the park. She laughed and loved it each time it was sung and I touched her fingers. China Conference what a blast !!
Five days of music, educational good practise and new thinking from every continent in the world. As hosts, there were Chinese concerts, instrumentals, an Opera, dance, a harp orchestra (wow) and the famous Tea Ceremony. Great to catch up with colleagues. So much learnt, and so much to share with you.
Speaking at Conference this Afternoon
Jill is giving her Conference talk this afternoon at Beijing Normal University about building bridges between disadvantaged Parents and Mums and their Babies using music - a "musical oasis".
Beijing is warm
Beijing is very hot at 35C. A hustle & bustle city of more than 22 million people. The Conference starts this week "Nurturing Children's Lives by Building Bridges".
Final Preparations for Beijing
Jill is in final packing for ISME World Conference in Beijing, China in July-August 2010. Here she will be presenting on Research being undertaken with a Faculty Member of Macquarie University, Sydney.
Relevant international trends, developments and innovative thinking about early childhood music usually make there way into her Classes in Sydney, Australia as she nurtures music in the early years.
