Mother Goose

Mother Goose is not a Nursery Song nor a Rhyme, but a collection of rhymes.

It is believed that Mother Goose is an imaginary author of a collection of fairy tales, nursery songs and rhymes. This collection is often published as Mother Goose Rhymes.

"Mother Goose" herself is often depicted as an elderly woman in country attire wearing a shawl and tall hat and is sometimes drawn as a goose.

The so-called "Mother Goose" rhymes and stories form the basis for many classic Australian and British pantomimes.

The nursery songs page show some of the Mother Goose rhymes.
